We support a climate protection project in Ethiopia within the scope of certification as climate friendly operation. The starting points for climate protection at camping sites are diverse, for example, we generate the required heat to a large extent from renewable energies, use green electricity, place particular emphasis on water saving measures and have a particularly high insulation standard in the sanitary buildings. However, carbon dioxide emissions also occur in our country. We have compensated for this by supporting the CO2OL climate protection project "Soddo Community Managed Reforestation in Ethiopia". The reforestation area is located in the high mountain region of South Ethiopia, 300 km southwest of the capital Addis Ababa. The project area covers a total of 503 hectares to the uplands of Mount Damota in the north of the city of Soddo.
